The Toronto Tempo Return to Vancouver in 2026
The WNBA is returning to Vancouver in a big way! The Toronto Tempo will return in 2026 to play two regular season games, marking an exciting milestone for the growth of the game in Canada.
The Tempo made its presence felt this year with a slate of Vancouver activations surrounding the 2025 WNBA Canada Game. Over two days, the city came alive with basketball, community, and celebration.
A Community Court Full of Energy
Tempo tipped things off at Britannia Secondary School with a community pick-up game. Fans and community members came together for an evening of basketball, food, and giveaways. Even with a little rain, the energy was unstoppable—proof that nothing can dampen the spirit of the game.
Spotlighting Powerful Voices
In partnership with WNBA Canada and SHE’S GOT NEXT, Tempo hosted a pre-game panel highlighting the powerful voices shaping women’s basketball. The conversation brought together leaders and changemakers to discuss representation, growth, and the bright future of the sport.
Tempo LIVE at Rogers Arena
On game day, fans packed the concourse at Rogers Arena for Tempo LIVE, an energetic pre-game experience. From 5:30–8:30 p.m., the space buzzed with games, prizes, photo opportunities, and a seat-upgrade contest. The biggest moment came mid-game when Tempo President Teresa Resch and General Manager Monica Wright Rogers took the floor to announce that the Tempo will return to Vancouver in 2026.
Repping Tempo in Vancouver
Fans also got the chance to wear their support proudly, with the official Tempo Collection available across multiple locations inside Rogers Arena.
Looking Ahead
From the community court to the big stage, Tempo’s Vancouver debut was a big success, thanks to fans and the community. The team’s return in 2026 promises to be even bigger, bringing the energy of professional women’s basketball back to the West Coast.
